You know one of the things that I find really inspiring and fun to do is to create a Bucket List. Now I know many of you have done this before but some of you haven’t and even if you have done this exercise previously it can be heaps of fun seeing what’s changed in terms of what you’d like to have on your Top 100 Things you’d like to do see have contribute too etcetera.
When you create your Bucket List remember don’t limit yourself by time, money or geography, it’s YOUR list so you can put anything on it at all. It’s a matter of free flowing with ideas that inspire you. In other words just let it all rip…In fact remember when we were kids just how wonderful and creative our imaginations were I mean we just had no limitations because we didn’t have anyone say to us “No you can’t do that” or “You’re not good enough” So I encourage you to take yourself back to that time with no limits in your thinking!
When creating your Bucket List I’d jot down 100 things that cover the following:
Places you’d like to visit gosh I reckon there’d be heaps of them that you’ve always wanted to go too.👈
Things you’d like to contribute too such as a charity there must be things you’re passionate about, there may be lives you want to impact. I know some people like the idea of starting a foundation for a cause they believe in.👈
You can put on your list experiences you’d like to have, it might be skydiving to raise funds for a charity or like some other friends of mine who just spent 3 weeks in Peru climbing and visiting Machu Picchu in the Andes Mountains. Hey perhaps it could be a visit to the Pyramids at Giza in Egypt or cruise the Rhine through Switzerland and Germany, maybe visit New York to see a Broadway Show which is where I saw Aladdin with my family, gosh there’s just so many places I am sure you could put on that list of yours.👈
Is it people you want to spend time with in exotic places again I have had several friends who’ve taken their families on Safari in Africa – a trip of a lifetime.👈
The other thing that is important is to rank your list and priortise your Top 100 in terms of time. It’s important to create a deadline for each of your dreams so you know what you are working towards each year. There’s nothing more satisfying than coming back to your list and ticking off items as you complete them. This year I was able to tick off going to Amsterdam, Bruges in Belgium, I did a World War I tour to the Battlefields of France and Belgium with particular emphasis on visiting Theatres of War where the Australians fought. I saw the Last Post played at Menin Gate in Ypres and then went on to Paris and the Eiffel Tower.
I also visited San Diego in the U.S.A. and took a tour of the USS Midway. All things on my list but now I’m going to update that list and add more things and experiences to it including the contributions I want to make.
